I love this tumeric….so delicious. I initially wanted tge lakadong for its high curcumin content for anti inflammatory action…the fact it’s also delicious is a bonus. Can’t wait to cook with it as well as put it in my morning tea. Really helps with minor aches and pains in my gym recovery. Thankyou!

I normally find turmeric quite harsh to drink and gritty but this dissolves in warm water beautifully. Added honey makes it more palatable. Lovely smooth drink.

This is a revelation. I've been used to the dull woody tasting stuff you get in those micro jars and always wondered if that was it. On opening the jar (hand-filled by the way), I was struck by the freshness of it. Sure it has some woodiness to it, but there's also a tiny hint of cinnamon, and something that just tingles your nostrils.
Mixed with fresh lime juice it really comes alive - great for rice dishes, or add a teaspoon to Pot Noodle (yes that's not a typo) to make a snack zing

I have been making ginger, lemon and turmeric shots for the morning for many years. But it is not always easy to find and buy good fresh turmeric. I am blown away by how good this turmeric is and you don’t need much. Would absolutely recommend and will buy more.

Following extensive research on the available varieties of turmeric to be taken regularly as a supplement for joint pains and swelling for my wife, and having tried out many other suppliers products over many months, I finally found Lakedong Turmeric marketed by Dear Farmer, a product grown only in the Meghalaya/Lakadong district of north east India having the highest Curcamin (9%) content, while most other tumeric varieties researched contained substantially lower percentages of this vital ingredient.

I decided to order The Dear Farmer product for my wife as it is claimed to be grown naturally in a small holdings, harvested at the optimum time and sundried naturally, which I understand to take longer (rather than forced drying using applied heat) and ground to the powder form, all processes carried out at the source by a small community of growers using traditional techniques to retain the high quality and effectiveness of naturally occuring Curcumin.

My wife has found the Dear Farmer product to be superior to other available forms of turmeric and has twice re-ordered (4 x 100g each time) for the excellence of the product and customer service. Will soon be re-ordering again.

Too good (and expensive) to use as a spice in cooking although this should surpass the turmeric bought at the local asian store!!!

Note - It is claimed by experts that a heaped teaspoon of ground black pepper added and well mixed to the contents of each 100g bottle before use enhances the absorption rate of the active ingredient. My wife adds a teaspoon of this turmeric powder to her warm coffee with breakfast each morning without fail, and a little warm water added to any remaining un-dissolved turmeric sediment, stirred and swallow. Refrain from boiling (like in a curry) although this would dissolve the powder.

I love the taste, it's very smooth and tastes great just boiled in water, with some oat or soy drink added. I also enjoyed the handwritten, personalised card it came with :) It would be nice to get it in local whole foods shops.
